Whatever Became Of Hooters Airline

Whenever people think about Hooters, they generally think about a neighborhood restaurant that offers chicken wings and pretty waitresses to those that visit. There is also a Hooters Airline, however, that you might be interested in knowing about. It was set up in the early 2000s as a way to bring golfers to the Myrtle Beach area. Even though they did not operate their own airline, they did do so as a partner through a company that was known as pace Airlines.
There were several arrivals of Hooters Air when they came into Myrtle Beach on a daily basis. Most of these flights were nonstop and the company enjoyed sort of a flying billboard at that time. Even though there were some problems with delays along the way, things seemed to run fairly well as could be expected. There were several regular stewardesses that were available on each of these flights but there were also a couple of Hooters waitresses that were dressed in their restaurant clothing that were there to help with meals.
Anybody that was looking for rates on Hooters airline could do so by calling the company directly in order to book their flight or by looking on travel websites such as Expedia or consolidator. The people who flew on Hooters Airline did so in the comfort as they did remove some of the seats on the flight in order to give 34 inches of legroom to their passengers. Although they were featured as an economy airfare, there were times when you had to pay quite a bit to fly into Myrtle Beach as that airport is not a main hub. The seats on the aircraft were rather comfortable and a lot of effort was put into making people enjoy the flight along the way. Each airplane was painted with the Hooters Airline logo which was meant to boost awareness of the neighborhood restaurant and it seemed to do a fairly good job of it.
As they say, all good things must come to an end and in 2007, Hooters Airlines ceased doing any more flights to the Myrtle Beach area. Pace Airlines, however, still continues to operate even today although they are going so without any flights bearing the Hooters Airline logo. The reason that they stopped the flights, according to official company documents, was because of the rising cost of fuel as a result of hurricane Katrina.
